Furniture Designs & Upholstery (History, Present & Furniture Trends) I & II

This course is designed to introduce the students to working knowledge of furniture manufacturing & upholstery techniques with hands-on experience. Emphasis is placed on safety, Furniture Manufacturing terminologies, housekeeping, equipment, equipment maintenance and repairs, History & philosophy of furniture styles, color, fabrics, and woods, as well as principles and elements of Furniture/automotive design.

Advanced Furniture Designs & Upholstery I & II

This course introduces students to Computer & Technology knowledge, skills and abilities. It will focus on software and hardware aspects regarding practical usage for work environment purposes. The training provide an individual's core skills and knowledge to function in a technology-driven sector. It will enable the individual to undertake basic ICT functions by learning Computer-aided design and engaging in fundamental online activities.

Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship I & II

This course covers the process of identifying and quantifying market opportunities, then conceptualizing, planning, and either starting a new, technology-based furniture manufacturing enterprise or creating an innovation ecosystem within larger organizations. Topics include opportunity assessment, the value proposition, the entrepreneur, legal issues, entrepreneurial ethics, the business plan, the founding team, seeking customers and raising funds. Working in teams, students develop business models for start-up projects that can launch as a standalone company or as an intrapreneurship team.

Technical Drawing & Technology Studies I & II

This course introduces students to Technical Drawing & Technology knowledge, skills and abilities. It will focus on software and hardware aspects regarding practical usage for work environment purposes. The training provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to gain ICT competency in contemporary information society. It will enable a person to undertake ICT functions using a Personal Computer, engage in fundamental online activities and enable students create technology-assisted drawing.

Leadership & Self Development I & II

In this course, students will explore a new approach to leadership and self-development. As aspiring leaders, we want to train our students to ask questions and reflect on themselves to understand better who they are and how they can lead and work with others. The key sub-modules here would be Etiquettes, Communication & Social Emotional Learning.

Culture, Creative Thinking & Innovation I & II

This special issue enriches the study of creativity and innovation as a cultural and social process. The topics in this course include conceptions of creativity in different cultures, different natures and manifestations of creativity and innovation, the influence of cultural values, norms, and multiculturalism on creativity, and the dialogical co-evolvement between culture and creativity. The collection of articles in this issue presents cutting-edge evidence and lays the groundwork for active dialogue about integrating the study of culture and creativity.
